Acupuncture and Massage College

Alternative medicine is growing in popularity, and now is the perfect time to pursue an education in traditional Chinese health care. The Acupuncture and Massage College of Miami offers unique academics for students who want to find a different way to treat patients.

AMC currently offers programs in Massage Therapy and Oriental Medicine. The Oriental Medicine program combines Western science, homeopathy and Chinese methods like acupuncture and qigong. This program is three years of full-time study.

The Massage Therapy program is just 720 hours. The curriculum focuses on Shiatsu and Qigong, but students also learn Swedish and Medical Massage, as well as Cranial Sacral Therapy.

The college also provides certification courses in Tai Chi and Yoga.

Students who qualify can apply for federal financial aid programs or private student loans. AMC does not fund scholarships or loan programs.

To apply to the Massage Therapy program, you must hold a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old. The Oriental Medicine program has more strict admissions requirements, including 60 undergraduate credits and two letters of recommendation.
